Centrica is participating in the cultural programme of the Lyceum Club Internazionale di Firenze, supporting the institution in launching a new series of meetings dedicated to the crime fiction genre, combining literary dissemination, audience participation and narrative experimentation.
The first event, scheduled for Thursday 29 January 2026 at 5 p.m. at Palazzo Adami Lami, is dedicated to Agatha Christie, a central figure in 20th-century literature and an icon of crime fiction. The meeting will feature Nicoletta Manetti, lawyer and writer, in conversation with Giovanna Checchi, theatre and entertainment historian, in a journey through the life, work and imagination of the British author.
The initiative inaugurates a cycle that renews the tradition of afternoon tea and actively involves the public through an original narrative game: a “lyceista” crossword puzzle that will accompany participants throughout the subsequent meetings, until the final solution in May, on the occasion of a radio mystery inspired by Ellery Queen.
Centrica’s participation is part of a vision that recognises culture and literature as fundamental tools for dialogue, education and community building. Promoting projects that combine quality content, accessibility and active involvement means contributing to a lively, shared and contemporary cultural experience.
Admission is free until all available places are taken.
