Yesterday there has been the final sign-off on Project D@nte, a program of “Advanced scanning through new publishing technologies”, introduced by Giunti SpA as leader of a group of companies including Centrica Ltd, Hyperborea Ltd., Noze Ltd, Cubit Scarl, and Giunti School Touring Publisher, co-financed by Tuscany Region. The deed was made possible by the approval of the Locational Protocol signed in the Region offices by the Production Activities Councilor Gianfranco Simoncini and the Giunti’s Vice President Bruno Mari.
D@nte Project addresses the use of digital technologies for the publishing industry to face the market with new formats, new channels, new forms of dialogue with the user as well as new distribution and sale models, and a radical rethinking of editorial design.
“The importance of this device” Simoncini remarked, “lies in the capability of awakening a more entrepreneurial frame of mind within enterprises. Within this procedure, the Region has a key role in the active involvement of other subjects, both private and institutional, and of anyone which might contribute to the achievement of the objective.”
