Il Giambologna in Florence 17th December 2009 - 31 st January 2010, Centro Storico di Firenze
An itinerary to discover Jean de Boulogne (1529 - 1608), known as Giambologna, author of the famous Rape of the Sabine Women. The journey, both physical and virtual, starts from Palazzo Pitti throughout the historic center of Florence on the trail of the Flemish sculptor. Centrica supplied the high resolution digitization of major works by Giambologna and took care of the website http://giambologna.comune.fi.it, where it is finally possible to browse and download the audio guide of the itinerary. The Rape of the Sabine Women, in particular, can be accessed on the web by the Virtual XLtour.

"Virtual Gallery" Exhibition 12th December 2009 - 31 st January 2010, Battistero S. Giovanni in Corte, Pistoia
On 12th December at 5 p.m., the "Virtual Gallery" will have its grand opening at the Bishops' Palace, organized by the Foundation Cassa di Risparmio di Pistoia and Pescia and by the Soprintentenza Speciale per il Polo Museale Fiorentino. An interactive and virtual itinerary inside the Baptistery of Pistoia, to touch and explore high resolution digital images of the Crucifix of the Cathedral of Pistoia, painted in 1274 by the Florentine Coppo di Marcovaldo. In addition you can explore important works from the Galleria degli Uffizi, from Botticelli to Leonardo. The exhibition is open until 10 January 2010 and the entrance is free.

Centrica presents recent digitalizations at Italy in Japan 2009 4th October 2009, Tokyo, Istituto Italiano di Cultura.
Centrica presents last digitizations, realised for Polo Museale Fiorentino with Hitachi and MICC (works of art from Botticelli, Caravaggio, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Piero della Francesca, Fattori, Lega). Images reach the resolution of 3,6 GigaPixel each and are presented with examples of multimodal valorization through ArsTouch® and XLimage®. The Symposium is held at Italian Institute of Culture in Tokyo.

The Museum Richard Ginori: a new lease on life 3rd - 27th September 2009, Ravello, Chiostro Inferiore di Villa Rufolo
Trends/Design Section of the Ravello Festival promotes, in collaboration with the Richard Ginori and the Museum of the Shower Manufacture and under the patronage of the Second University of Naples, the exhibition "The Museum Richard Ginori: a new lease on life", dedicated to the museum of the famous porcelain company in Tuscany, founded in 1735. The exhibition will be staged in the Cloister Lower Villa Rufolo, September 3 to 27. Centrica, sponsor of the project, has produced multimedia applications in 3D with six major items in the collection of the Museum Richard Ginori and the installations ArsTouch® placed at the beginning of the show. A virtual tour that allows you to "touch" objects from all sides, choosing to dwell in detail on high resolution images accessible through XLimage®. Galileo. Images of Universe from antiquity to telescope 13th March - 30 th August 2009, Firenze, Palazzo Strozzi
Galileo exhibition celebrates the fourth centenary of the extraordinary astronomical discoveries made by Galileo through the telescope. Through the system ArsTouch®, visitors can "touch the sky with a finger" by exploring planets and stars in an interactive and easy to use itinerary. The public can understand the various ways in which the structure of the Universe is designed. The images of Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, the stars and the Sun was kindly provided by ESA (European Space Agency). The exhibition is sponsored by Ministry for Cultural Heritage, Region of Tuscany, Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze and Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi. The Istituto e Museo di Storia della Scienza represents the scientific direction of the exhibition.
