Uffizi Virtual Experience. From Giotto to Caravaggio is the first virtual and immersive exhibition fulfilled in Italy and recently opened in Milan, dedicated to the collection of the Uffizi Gallery of Florence. More than 1150 artworks from one of the most important museums of the world will be at hand thanks to the conjunction of digital technologies and interactive systems.
In the exclusive location of the Fabbrica del Vapore, a groundbreaking venue on the edge in the Italian cultural and creative field, you can feel the emotion of a surprising educational and entertaining experience. You can discover the masterpieces of the Uffizi Gallery, see details that are not visible to the naked eye and re-discover the artworks with new enabling tools and innovative learning paths.
Entering the exhibition area, you will be surrounded by the best of the collection of the Uffizi Gallery displayed on large screens with a variety of projection of ultra high resolution digital images. The first immersive section of the digital exhibition is followed by an interactive area equipped with Uffizi Touch® devices, a technology that allows to discover and analyze any detail of the artworks following innovative learning paths.
A new kind of edutainment that will bring you closer than ever before to some of the best artworks of Italian culture and creativity, reflecting the mission of VIRTUITALY, a startup born in 2015 with the aim of achieving events with a strong emotional impact and with an educational value.
Fulfilled with the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, of the City of Milan and the City of Florence, the digital exhibition will be at the Fabbrica del Vapore of Milan until March 10th.
