The MUDI, MUseo Degli Innocenti, represents a key step of the exhibition “Ghirlandaio. A family of Renaissance painters between Florence and Scandicci”, with the Adoration of the Magi by Domenico Ghirlandaio. The exhibition has visitors tracking Ghirlandaios’ artistic activity through their workplaces in Tuscany. The Adoration of the Magi is also a central element of “The Merchant, the Hospital, the Children” exhibition, which will be held from November 27th, 2010 to March 1st, 2011, in parallel with the “Ghirlandaio” initiative. The exhibition shows the welfare system in the late Middle Ages Florence, in occasion of the six hundredth year since the death of Francesco Datini, whose legacy led to the foundation of the Hospital itself. It will be possible to view and explore the great altarpiece on an ArsTouch® interactive screen, thanks to its digitisation by Centrica at a superlative 1.2 Gigapixels resolution
